Our Mission

We [Ava’s Voice, Usher Kids UK and Usher Kids Australia] are working together to share knowledge and facilitate connections across our rare community. Register now to receive information about our 2021/’22 program of events (open to everyone, regardless of location).

Origin of F2FC

The Family-to-Family Communities (F2FC) project is a partnership between the National Family Association for Deaf-Blind (NFADB), the National Center on Deaf-Blindness (NCDB), and State Deaf-Blind Projects. Partners participate in the F2FC project by sharing resources, expertise, time, and effort.

F2FC began as a pilot project among Southeast State Deaf-Blind Projects with support from the National Center on Deaf-Blindness (NCDB) and the National Family Association for Deaf-Blind (NFADB). The pilot project was conducted during 2014-2015 and consisted of two groups. It has grown to 15 unique groups during 2020-2021.

Social & Emotional (USHchat)

Topic-based sessions (USHlearn)

We will host speakers and share information / resources on topics relevant to children and families living with Usher syndrome. There will be the opportunity to ask questions, and to discuss the topic with other participants
